We are currently hiring for the position of Burner on first shift.
Job Duties:
- This position requires the ability to perform dimensional inspections, reading of work order and proper use of tagging methods for plate identification accuracy
- This position requires a person to be physically able to stand for long periods of time, to perform repetitive motions and lifting of Brinnel Indentors (30 lbs) to plates.
- This position requires a person to be able to read inspection tools - Tape measure, micrometers, hardness tester, calipers, gages, and read customer specifications, work orders, inspections sheets
- This position requires a person to have the ability to obtain lift certification to safely operate lift trucks,overhead cranes and properly package material per customer of internal specification.
- This position requires operator to be able to operate equipment efficiently and maintain a level of acceptable part quality and production demand per internal & customer part specifications.
- This postion must understand and perform customer related inspection activities, as directed by Quality Mgr including the inspection of loads or authorizing the release of materials while loading trucks or shipping products
- Plate inspector must be able to load plate utilizing Overhead and Gantry crane in Heat Treat Furnace as it will be utilized in lunch relief for Furnaces
- Plate Inspector must have the ability to organize HT inventory and assist at Wheelabrator during High demand
- Must have ability to measure and record Hardness and Flatness data, as well as input data into Epicor System
- Demonstrate ability to learn and utilize King Scan system and optical scopes
- Employee must participate and become actively engaged in the Company Traction & L10 Process
This is a 2nd shift position working 3pm - 1am Monday through Thursday. Pay rate is $15.00/hr + $0.30/hr Shift Premium
